Jennifer's Bio

At age nine, I gained my first taste of eventing through the Pony Club.   As stable manager at a combined training rally, I marveled at the action of each discipline. Although at that early age I had no idea of the intricacies of combined training or three-day eventing, I was eager to experience my new equestrian future.

My mother was a single parent and money was always tight, but she somehow figured a way to provide me with a horse.  Over the years, as I moved through the ratings, I learned from my experiences how to make the most of any situation.   I have had my share of struggle, loss and injury, but adversity strengthened my character, as season after season I followed my dream to ride horses, compete and learn.

In 2004 I was fortunate to secure my partner, the Good Witch, whom I trained to Advanced level. With help from my coach, Ginnie Bryant, I am responsible for my own training program, from nutrition to conditioning and improving the skills of both "Pooh" and myself.   In 2006 I relocated my business to Ramona, becoming head trainer of Trinity Farms, in order to be closer to Ginnie's barn in San Juan Capistrano. This will allow me the time and focus to compete at the International level in this sport.

The year 2006 was a crossroads for the Good Witch and me:  we finished 2nd in the Galway Downs World Cup qualifier and I entered my first International competition, completing the Blenheim Palace CCI*** and finishing 18 th in the 2006 World Cup at Malmo, Sweden.  In 2007 I finished in 14th place at the Jersey Fresh CCI***, and moved up to an 11th place finish at the Pau, France 4**** – the youngest and highest-placed American.   I'm now on the USEF Eventing Winter Training List, and am long-listed for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Hong Kong.
My goal to represent the United States at the Olympics is now within reach.
